Dhul started out in a very curious way, as the result of a coincidence and the vision and hard work of a married couple from Granada almost 40 years ago.
At that time, the married couple from Granada had a chicken farm on the outskirts of Granada and they sold the eggs in the region. That year, they had excess production and could not sell all of the eggs so the wife decided to use them to make flan and she sold them in the school she had attended.
The egg-based flan was so good that other schools began asking her for it and so her success spread to the point where she was soon selling it all over Andalucía. In just a few years, thanks to the “secret” recipe (fresh ingredients, double-boiler cooking and a lot of TLC), Dhul flan became famous and was sold all over Spain.
Today, not only does Dhul make an excellent flan but also offers a wide range of Dhul desserts and ready-to-serve refrigerate dishes under the name of Chef Dhul.
